Business Networking

Posted: 16.09.10

TWO KEYNOTE speakers have been lined up for Autumn events at the Britannia Stadium which will aim to build upon the successful launch of a Business Networking venture.

The 2012 London Olympics will be the theme of a presentation by Vanessa Darlington at the first of those events in October and this will be followed by a luncheon in the company of Lord Sugar’s right hand man Nick Hewer a month later.

Darlington is the 2012 Olympics Co-Ordinator for Stoke-on-Trent who will give an insight into how local companies can take advantage of such a massive sporting occasion.

There will then be an opportunity for businesses to benefit from the wisdom of Hewer who, as an advisor to Sugar, has been a prominent figure in the successful creation of The Apprentice television series which quickly emerged as a ground-breaking reality show.

The first of these events takes place on Tuesday 19th October and is free to City Business Members and other people who are interested in becoming Members, while The Apprentices Nick Hewer will join us on Thursday 18th November with tickets priced at £65.00.

The Business Networking Events enjoyed a successful launch in the summer and present those who attend with a chance to enjoy the benefits of the our newly-introduced City Business Membership and also ‘mixing business with pleasure’ at the Britannia Stadium.

Not only are we looking to build closer links with City Business Members, we also want to add value to their association with the Club by showcasing the excellent opportunities that are available at the Britannia Stadium both on matchdays and non-matchdays.

CELEBRITY chef Marco Pierre White will be putting the culinary skills of Stoke City’s players to the test in October when he makes his eagerly-awaited appearance at the Britannia Stadium.

Marco’s Stoke Kitchen will see City’s first team stars preparing a three-course meal under the guidance of the man famously known as the Godfather of modern day cooking.

The players will be challenged to serve up a real treat for diners on what promises to be a sizzling evening’s entertainment in the Waddington Suite on Wednesday 6th October.

Their dishes will be tasted by a panel of judges before guests give their verdict on presentation while a question and answer session with Marco will run throughout the evening to add even more entertainment to proceedings that include a sumptuous three-course meal.

VIP tables, which include a champagne reception in the company of Marco, have already sold out, but there are other places available with a table for 10 people costing £999 plus VAT

New Commercial Signings A Big Hit

Posted: 16.09.10

NEW ARRIVALS have certainly generated a considerable amount of excitement in the early stages of this season . . . both on and off the field!

As we look forward to seeing many of our new signings in Barclays Premier League action, some of the new additions to the Commercial operation have already made a big impact since their recent introduction.

The new LED Perimeter Boards have not only been an eye-catching feature pitchside at the Britannia Stadium, they have also generated a huge amount of interest among businesses recognising the potential of our worldwide audience.

Selling of this advertising space has been so successful that the 90 minutes of in-play spots have all been sold out and due to the high demand special pre-match and half-time packages which start at £2,000 are also proving to be popular.

There has also been a high level of interest in the new Level Four Executive Suites which underwent a major facelift during the summer which included creating private balconies so that guests can savour the special atmosphere at matches.

This has certainly had the desired effect and the excellent view from these luxury suites is now being appreciated by more and more people using these refurbished facilities, all of which means there is now limited availability on this level.

These are just some of the fantastic opportunities to watch your Premier League action in the lap of luxury, contact our commercial team on 01785 592211 for more information about any of our opportunities.
